CHOREY LES BEAUNE
Total Surface : 12 ouvrées (1 ouvrée = 4 ares 28)
Grape Variety : Pinot Noir
Average Age of the Vines : 58 years old
Nature of the Soil :Located in “Les Champs Longs”, the soil is made up of marl-limestone alluvium with a stony base. Sometimes presenting iron nuances, these deposits came down from the hillside of Corton over several millennia. A layer of gravel completes this silty structure rich in “chailles”.
Harvesting : Manual only.
Wine Characteristics :This red wine, quite light and supple, moderately tonic but rich in character, presents itself in a rather lively color, often crimson with violet reflections. The nose is dominated by red fruits (raspberry, Morello cherry) and black fruits (blackberry), enhanced by notes of licorice and undergrowth. Older, the wines evolve towards aromas of strawberry jam and gingerbread. On the palate, though it is structured, a roundness is fully present. Fruity sensations linger on the tongue.
